Ezer Mizion Distributes Over 3,000 Rosh HaShanah Food Baskets
The Ezer Mizion charity organization distributed over 3,000 food baskets and hot meals throughout Israel last week, enabling sick and needy individuals and families to celebrate Rosh HaShanah, the Jewish new year.

"Worsening economic conditions affect the vulnerable sectors of society more than anyone else," says Chananya Chollak, Ezer Mizion's founder and chairman. "Every year, more people in Israel rely on Ezer Mizion, and every year, we distribute more food packages to allow these people to enjoy the holidays despite their difficult situations."

The nationwide Rosh HaShanah food distribution campaign was coordinated by Ezer Mizion branches in Bnei Brak, Jerusalem, Rehovot, Kfar Saba, Rishon LeTzion, Modiin Ilit, Bat Yam, Raanana, Petach Tikvah, and other cities. The annual campaign was made possible by the generosity of corporate sponsors and private donors, as well as by an energetic volunteer network.

Ezer Mizion distributes over half a million meals each year to families of sick and hospitalized patients, to elderly, disabled and homebound people, and to terror victims. The organization is planning another nationwide food distribution campaign before the Sukkot holiday, and is seeking sponsors to share the cost of the campaign. Arutz-7's Hebrew internet radio (top center link) will be holding a telethon for Ezer Mizion tomorrow night and Thursday. For more information on the organization, please visit www.ezermizion.org.
