MK Yuri Stern, chairman of the National Union faction in the Knesset, agreed: "Instead of empty words about evacuating settlements, words that do nothing but encourage terrorism, it is necessary to continue and escalate the war against all of the terrorist groups and against all the terror infrastructures. The government of Israel gets no quarter in this war and it must not give any to the Arab terrorists."
Similarly, MK Shaul Yahalom, NRP faction head, called the attack "painful reproof for all those statesmen who have unilateral plans up their sleeves. They should know that all the terrorists see those plans as prizes for the terrorist plans that they carry out."
Minister of Health Danny Naveh called for the immediate removal of PLO leader Yasser Arafat. "It is a security action that is necessary under the circumstances, and I have been consistent in this view," he said.
