The security forces succeeded in pursuing and killing another top Islamic Jihad terrorist last night. The forces surrounded the home of Majdi Abu Dush in the village of Dura, near Hevron; he refused to come out, and was killed in the ensuing fire-fight. The army called out for two or three other terrorists hiding inside to come out, which they did, and the forces then destroyed the building. Abu Dush was responsible for the ambush attack between Hevron and Kiryat Arba in which 12 Israelis were killed last year, and the murder shortly afterwards of four yeshiva students in Otniel.

IDF soldiers also caught a teen-aged Arab from Shechem, who admitted to having been on his way to carrying out a suicide attack. He was among nine terrorists apprehended during the night.
