The London-based, Saudi-funded a-Sharq al-Awsat newspaper has reached what it feels is a disturbing conclusion in light of Israel's separation fence and its decision to deny automatic citizenship to Palestinian Authority Arabs who marry Israelis: "Israel has turned into a Jewish nationalist state."

Regarding the citizenship decision, Arutz-7's Nissan Ratzlav-Katz reports, the newspaper declared, "This shows once again the extent of Israel's racism and its anti-Palestinian discrimination, and it violates Israel's basic dogma, which calls for protecting human pride and freedom... This [policy] turns Israel into a racist country instead of one that had impressed all Arab parties with its attachment to democratic principles," the newspaper continued. Israelis will be glad to learn that their country had "impressed all Arab parties."

In conclusion, the Saudi-backed newspaper reveals what really bothers it about Israel's latest policies: "But with this new law and Israel's intransigence with regard to the wall separating Arab from Israeli properties in the West Bank and Gaza, Israel has turned into a Jewish nationalist state."
