Islamic Movement Leaders Charged With Fund-Raising For Hamas

The five leaders of the northern section of the Islamic Movement in Israel raised 30 million shekels that they were planning to transfer to the Hamas terrorist organization and to terrorist prisoners. So reads the indictments against the five, whose trial began today in the Haifa District Court but was postponed for another 10-14 days. The defendants denied all the charges. The two leading defendants, Sheikh Raad Salah and Um el-Fahm Mayor Mahmoud Abu-Samra, are charged with having contact with Iranian agents and with giving information to the enemy.
