Maintaining Temple Mount Quiet

First Publish: 7/4/2003, 5:16 PM

In light of the revelation that Jewish groups were allowed to visit the Temple Mount this week, for the first time since the Palestinians broke out the Oslo War 33 months ago, police fear Arab disturbances during today's Moslem prayers on the Temple Mount. For this reason, no males younger than age 40 will be allowed to pray there today, and all visitors must present their Israeli identity cards.

Palestinian terrorist gunfire targeted an Israeli truck near Alfei Menashe this morning. The incident happened just east of Kfar Saba, and no one was hurt.
