Several days of intense IDF anti-terror activity in Khan Yunis and other Gaza areas came to an end this morning. The forces destroyed an eight-story building last night from which sniper fire had been frequently directed at IDF forces. Other buildings outside Khan Yunis used to camouflage Palestinian terrorist activities were also taken down. The Arabs threw grenades and bombs at the forces, detonated some ten explosives against them, and shot at them, wounding lightly two soldiers. One terrorist cell threw a bomb at the IDF from within a mosque - in the knowledge that the IDF takes all precautions not to hit such buildings. IDF helicopters fired at two cells engaged in attacking Israeli forces.
Other attacks today included an attempted bombing on a route used by IDF forces near Jenin and shots at an IDF outpost near N'vei Dekalim. An IDF force also found a series of almost-ready explosives near Netzarim, north of Gush Katif, as well as an explosive in the hothouses of Morag in southern Gaza. No one was hurt in these incidents.
Another IDF force carried out extensive anti-terror activity in a village south of Hevron today.
