The Health Ministry tonight is considering ordering the closure of malls, following the photos from Friday in which people are seen disobeying Ministry orders.

Some of the footage shows many people visiting shopping centers, and long queues. Shoppers testified that they waited a long time outside the stores.

Health Ministry Director Prof. Hezi Levy reacted to the congestion in the malls: "I'm very worried that this is another incident that could increase morbidity. We'll have to think about whether to continue the pilot and how."

A statement issued by Edelstein's office at the beginning of Shabbat stated that the Health Minister instructed his office, headed by Ministry Director Prof. Hezi Levy and coronavirus commissar Prof. Nachman Ash, to re-discuss the outline as early as tonight, and formulate conclusions regarding its continuation by the beginning of next week, when Edelstein will formulate his position on the issue.

Meanwhile, ten kitchen and sanitation workers at the Isrotel Dead Sea Hotel tested COVID-19 positive.

The Health Ministry stated that the workers were asymptomatic and they were diagnosed thanks to a sampling done in accordance with the "Green Island" program.

In a discussion held by Health Ministry Director Prof. Hezi Levy, it was decided to suspend activities of the Isrotel Dead Sea Hotel until the end of inspections.

Guests staying at this hotel from 22 November are required to have a COVID-19 test at sampling sites near their home.
