The woman was boating with relatives when the boat capsized, drowning her. The victim's husband, two grandchildren, and one other person suffered light injuries in the accident.

MDA emergency first responders were dispatched to the scene and treated the injured before evacuating them to Yoseftal Hospital in Eilat.

Gabi Barivo, an MDA first responder who helped treat the injured, said "When we arrived at the beach, we joined up with a police boat by the dock. They recovered five people who had been injured, including a woman in her 50s who was unconscious, had no heartbeat, and was not breathing, along with four others in light condition who were fully conscious and suffering from anxiety."

"We immediately began to performing advanced resuscitation techniques, including with medication, breathing, and massages, and then evacuated her while continuing medical treatment to the hospital, while she was on critical condition. Four other injured people were examined at the scene and then evacuated to the hospital in stable condition."
