Tzfat Chief Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu this evening entered isolation after discovering he was exposed to a coronavirus patient last week.

Today, Rabbi Eliyahu received word that he should enter isolation and in coming days he is expected to be examined to determine if he carries the virus.

Rabbi Eliyahu feels well and no symptoms were detected. He delivered his weekly lecture Kol Tzofecha live this evening from his home.

The Health Ministry this evening announced that 274 people were revealed to be coronavirus infected in the past day. 200 coronavirus patients are admitted to the various hospitals, of whom 45 are in serious condition. One person has passed away in the past day and the death toll now stands at 307 people.
