A gunbattle is currently underway between IDF soldiers and Arabs near the community of Dugit in Israel’s southern Mediterranean coastal area. Earlier this morning, several Arabs – using a nearby house as cover - began shooting at a group of land surveyors working near the entrance of the community. One of the surveyors was hit by at least five bullets and was taken to the hospital in moderate to serious condition. In addition, soldiers killed one of the Arabs while a second was hurt.



Yesterday morning, soldiers killed a Hamas gang Arab in northern Gaza, who was on his way to carry out an attack. The man was spotted cutting through the security fence separating Gaza from pre-1967 Israel. Troops opened fired causing the explosives belt the Arab was wearing to detonate, killing him instantly. He was found armed with five hand grenades, a Kalashnikov assault rifle and ammunition.



Two Israelis were lightly injured in a stone-throwing attack on the Hussan bypass road west of Bethlehem last night… Last night soldiers throughout Gush Katif were targeted in separate shooting and grenade attacks. No injuries were reported. … An Israeli escaped injury last night when Arabs shot at his vehicle traveling in the Shomron near the community of Ginot Shomron.
