The Greek Ministry of Tourism announced on the weekend that tourists from Israel and 28 other countries will be permitted to enter Greece without requiring isolation starting on June 15.

Greece's health authorities will conduct coronavirus tests at random for some tourists upon entering the country.

Greece's official statement states that tourists will be able to enter the country via flights to the Athens and Thessaloniki airports, and that from July 1, tourists will be able to enter Greece via additional airports.

"The goal is to get every tourist who has overcome his fears and be able to visit us," said Tourism Minister Haris Theoharis.

To date, 2,915 cases of coronavirus have been diagnosed in Greece, 1,374 recovered from the virus and 175 died.

The Israeli Ministry of Health's guidelines state that all returnees from abroad must be in isolation for 14 days.
