MK Eli Avidar (Yisrael Beytenu) on Saturday morning said that the results of the Likud party primaries will bring additional voters to his party.

In a Shabbatarbut (political and cultural forums that take place on the Sabbath) event in the northern city of Hadera, Avidar said that "the hand of Jabotinsky's men and the Beitar glory will burn before they vote for [Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin] Netanyahu or [Defense Minister Naftali] Bennett (New Right) and thereby bring the 'Kahanists' into the government."

The Likud, he claimed, "has undergone a metamorphosis. It's not Likud, it's a nightmare."

Turning his ire on the center-left Blue and White party, he said: "They're preparing the ground for a narrow government with the haredim, after they were afraid that Netanyahu would trick them last time."

"Politics is a business for the strong, not for those who are afraid to manage it. The option of a unity government is not dead. What's dead is the faith in Netanyahu and Blue and White."
