IDF forces at the scene spotted the infiltrators and opened fire. The Gazans fled back into Gaza uninjured.

On Saturday morning, an Israeli walking in the area of the Negev regional council noticed a suspicious balloon at the entrance to one of the Israeli communities.

The man reported the object to the Israeli police and a sapper team was called to the site. The team neutralized the suspected object, which was revealed as an explosive device attached to a balloon.

Also on Saturday, Islamic Jihad threatened to fire rockets on Teddy Stadium in Jerusalem, where a soccer match between Israel and Poland is expected to take place on Saturday night.

An image released by the terrorist organization showed missiles hitting the stadium, alongside a drawing of a hand holding a timer set on the time the game is expected to begin.
