A special fundraising campaign for the Sovereignty Youth Movement is being launched at the Oz v'Gaon nature reserve. "For 48 hours, contributions can be made from Israel and the world to shape the future generation of Israel's leadership," announced the movement.

The campaign began by completing a special orientation seminar day for district coordinators and key Sovereignty Youth Movement activists. On this day, the young people met with key individuals leading the vision of applying Israeli sovereignty over Judea and Samaria, asked questions and held discussions and debates about the vision of sovereignty and how to implement it.

The Sovereignty Movement, founded by Women in Green, notes that the fundraising campaign was initiated and led by the young people themselves, with the aim of expanding Sovereignty Youth Movement activities that were started at a gala conference held last year with the participation of more than 1,200 young people from all over the country.

Under the leadership of Sovereignty Youth, a series of goals have been set for continued activity. These include expanding deployment and activity of information stands throughout the country, holding another sovereignty conference for young people, leadership workshops for young people, meetings to learn how to work with Knesset Members and Knesset committees, parlor meetings to get the message across, techniques and methods for social network campaigns, and more.

The fundraising campaign is being launched after a moving Hanukkah candle-lighting ceremony with the participation of a number of public figures, including Gush Etzion region Rabbi Gideon Perl, Moshe Loba, who fought in Israel’s 1948 War of Independence, Sovereignty Movement President Sam Salomon, and others.

"The young people leading the campaign are the future generation of Israel’s leadership, and as such understand the significance of the moral burden placed on their shoulders as they join to help carry the torch of the Zionist vision until it is realized by applying Israeli sovereignty over all parts of Israel," say Sovereignty Movement leaders Yehudit Katsover and Nadia Matar.

The goal set by members of the Sovereignty Youth for these two days of fundraising is at least $150,000. "It can and must be done," says the movement's leadership. “For the sake of our future”.
