Israel's spate of stormy weather shows no sign of ending as heavy rains pounded the region overnight.

The heavy rains caused a wall to collapse in the in the Atarot industrial zone in the Jerusalem area.

A concrete wall collapsed on one part of the plant, apparently from the intensity of the rains. A police investigation was opened, following which the factory owner was detained for a police investigation.

Road 40 was blocked in both directions after it was completely flooded in the Gedera area. The road is blocked from the Brenner Junction to the Kidron Junction. The streets were flooded overnight in Holon, South Tel Aviv, Afula and Ashkelon.

In Herzliya, a sinkhole opened on Rav Kook Street due to as flooded sewage drain. In addition, Mount Hermon was blanketed by snow and heavy rain fell throughout the country.

The weather Friday will continue to be cold and rainy, with heavy rain in both northern and central Israel. Mount Hermon is expected to get more snow and authorities say that flooding is likely in central Israel.
