An Arab rioter was killed during clashes with Israeli security forces in western Samaria on Tuesday, Arab media outlets have reported.

According to a report by the Palestinian Authority-based WAFA media outlet, paramedics claimed that a rioter in his early 20s was shot and killed during clashes with IDF forces in the Palestinian Authority-controlled town of Tulkarem in western Samaria.

The report claimed that the man was shot in the head and legs, and was rushed to the Martyr Thabet Thabet Hospital in Tulkarem, where he was pronounced dead.

The man was later identified as 22-year-old Mohammed Hussam Abdel Latif Habaly, a resident of Tulkarem.

Rioters clashed with Israeli security forces operating in Tulkarem Tuesday morning, prompting IDF forces to respond with crowd control measures. IDF forces were reportedly searching for wanted suspects in Tulkarem.

The IDF has not yet confirmed the WAFA report, and an army spokesperson said the IDF was investigating the claim.
