An IDF soldier on leave was arrested over suspicions that he attacked five Israelis on Friday during a fight in the village of Fassuta in the Western Galilee.
During the brawl, the soldier attacked three locals with an ax. The civilians were slightly injured and evacuated to receive medical treatment.
The soldier also fired at two 20-year-old citizens, who were evacuated to the hospital in moderate condition.
Police were summoned to the scene and arrested the soldier and a friend that was with him. The two will appear before the Haifa Mastrigate's Court for a hearing. Police are requesting that they be denied bail.
