Throughout the country tonight second hakafot are being held, where Israeli Jews join their brothers from outside Israel who celebrate the holiday an additional day by taking the Torah scrolls into the city streets and again dancing with them.

Second hakafot will also be held at Rabbi Kook's home in Jerusalem, at Yeshivat Har HaMor and other yeshivas. Second hakafot at Merkaz HaRav have been cancelled due to the funeral of Rabbi Vald zt"l.

This evening, for the fourth year in a row, there will be second hakafot in Nehemiah Square (the hospice) on HaGai Street in the Old City of Jerusalem.

Hakafot will be held in the place where Rabbi Nehemia Lavi and Aharon Bennett fought against a Muslim terrorist and were murdered on a night during the intermediate days of Sukkot in 5776.

The murder attack took place on the night of Hoshana Rabba, when a terrorist attacked the family of Aharon Bennett. Upon hearing the calls for help, Rabbi Nehemiah Lavi, a resident of the nearby Wittenberg house, came to help the family.
