The left-wing Peace Now organization is furious at the Knesset Finance Committee decision to transfer NIS 61 million to Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria.

These are grants for young communities designed to compensate the communities for monies that, unlike for towns within pre-'67 Israel, cannot be received from the Jewish Agency.

"The Bennett Administration's priorities are above all the settlements, at the expense of 95 percent of the rest of Israel's citizens who live within the sovereign borders of the State," Peace Now charged.

"The million-dollar blackmailer of the settlement enterprise extorted tens of millions from education and welfare this morning with lies and false arguments. This is how a submissive coalition is being held captive by a small and extreme minority and that prefers the interests of the settlers at the expense of the entire public," added the group.
