Israel Police on Monday arrested a tourist couple from Bulgaria who are believed to be involved in forging and stealing money by using fake credit cards, an Israel Police spokesman said.

The arrest comes after police received a complaint from a Tel Aviv bank about money transactions made without authorization, and money withdrawn without authorization.

Police searched the couple's apartment, seizing stolen and fake credit cards.

Both suspects were taken into custody.

The couple, who are in their 30s and are visiting Israel on tourist visas, will appear in Tel Aviv's court as part of the ongoing investigation.
