Soldier injured after fire breaks out on IDF base

Blaze in IDF base in central Israel leaves soldier moderately injured.

An IDF soldier was injured Thursday morning after a fire broke out on in an army facility in central Israel.

The soldier sustained moderate injuries and was evacuated to an area hospital.

Firefighters were dispatched to the scene, and managed to contain the blaze. No details on the cause of the fire have yet been released.

Last Thursday, four IDF soldiers suffered injuries when their ‘Ze’ev’ type armored vehicle flipped over in the western Negev, near the Gaza Strip.
