The government is expected to approve today a new map of national priority areas, initiated by Prime Minister Netanyahu, which will define localities entitled to tax benefits, grants, and incentives.

The map includes hundreds of preferred settlements, outlying areas, border areas, new settlements, and vulnerable settlements in Judea and Samaria. Another map that will be presented to the government is intended to strengthen weak population sectors and reduce social and economic gaps.

Arutz Sheva has learned that the city of Ariel and the towns Neve Tzuf, Sansana and Rimonim were removed from the priority map. As of time of this writing, the reason for demoting these communities is unclear.

The list was formulated in recent weeks in the Prime Minister's Office.

The Prime Minister's response has not yet been received.
