Actor, rapper, and film producer Will Smith was spotted at the Western Wall in the Old City of Jerusalem Thursday, in an unpublicized trip to the Holy Land.

The 49-year-old star of the Men In Black film series, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Enemy of the State, and I Am Legend among others, made a surprise appearance at the Jewish holy site as part of a guided tour of the Old City of Jerusalem, and was also spotted making his way through a market.

“I’m chillin’ by the Western Wall,” said Smith. “We’re a couple of stories down from the Dome of the Rock.”

“It’s a very spiritual, very powerful place. I feel honored to be here.”

This is not Smith’s first trip to Israel. In 2016, Smith reported that he had visited Tel Aviv in 2015. Nor was today’s Western Wall visit his first time in the Israeli capital. In April 2006, Smith visited the Western Wall, surrounded by a large entourage – a stark contrast to Thursday’s low key visit.
