Chilean billionaire Leanardo Farkas was invited up on stage to perform with superstar Avraham Fried at a concert for United Hatzalah last week in Jerusalem.

The colorful Chilean billionaire is well known for both his philanthropy and for his piano skills. Farkas was a renowned pianist before going into the mining business, having performed at Carnegie Hall and at Las Vegas hotels.

Farkas caused a stir last week when he showed up at the Western Wall and told worshippers that he would give 100 dollars to anyone who agreed to sing Chabad songs describing the impending arrival of the Messiah.

In 2013, the Chilean mogul donated four Torah scrolls to the Kotel and arranged a 50 piece orchestra to celebrate the occasion.

Farkas has also hosted the Chabad fundraising telethon and has donated hundreds of millions of dollars to the organization.

In 2015, Farkas reportedly underwrote a large percentage of the United Hatzalah fundraising concert, which featured Jewish music stars Avraham Fried and Yaakov Shwekey.
