In the city of Lod a street was dedicated in memory of Chaya Salomon, who was murdered in the barbaric Neve Tzuf-Halamish terrorist attack at the end of July. Also murdered were two members of her family - her father Yosef and her brother Elad Hy"d.

The street sign - "Mishol Chaya Salomon" - was placed near the Noam Hameiri School in Lod, where Chaya taught first and second graders for the past 18 years.

The sign said that Chaya was "a dedicated educator and was murdered with her father Yosef and her brother Elad in a terrorist attack on Friday night." Before her murder, Chaya was honored with the outstanding teacher of Lod award.

The attack took place on Friday night at the end of July. The terrorist entered the Salomon family's home in Neve Tzuf armed with a knife and began to stab the family members who had finished eating the Sabbath meal and were awaiting guests to celebrate the birth of a new grandson with them..

Salomon, 40, was murdered next to her brother Elad and her father Yosef. Elad's wife, Michal, hid their five children in one of the rooms on the top floor of the house. A soldier from an elite unit who was on vacation in a nearby house shot the terrorist through the window and managed to neutralize him.
