Thousands marched through the Lodz Ghetto Monday, marking 73 years since its destruction by the Nazis. The marchers hailed from Germany and Poland, and walked somberly while carrying Israeli flags, while 'Jerusalem of Gold' played in the backround.

Established by the Nazis for the Jews in Poland, the Lodz Ghetto was the second largest Jewish Ghetto in all of Europe. An estimated 204,000 Jews passed through it until it was destroyed by the Nazis on August 28,1944.
