Elul: The King is in the Field

During the month of Elul, G-d is very near. What should we do about it?

Judy Simon,

The month of Elul is the last month of the Jewish year. It is a time to prepare for Rosh HaShana and Yom Kippur.

Our sages teach us that during this month, G-d is very close to His people. The King is in the field.

What does that mean for us? How do we relate to Hashem when He's nearby? What is our responsibility? How is this an opportunity?

And: Eliyon Shemesh shares stories and advice about the shofar, about Teshuva, and about the King Himself.

Then: Rebbetzin Pearl Borow shares thoughts about G-d as our King and as our Father. How can we prepare for the King's visit?
