IDF soldier wounded by friendly gunfire

IDF soldier moderately wounded during arrest operation near Bethlehem. The incident is being investigated.

An IDF soldier was moderately wounded overnight Tuesday by friendly fire during an arrest operation in Deheishe, near Bethlehem.

During the operation, the soldiers opened fire at two wanted terrorists who were attempting to flee the scene. The soldier, who was caught in the crossfire, was taken to a hospital for medical treatment.

The IDF is investigating the incident. The soldier's family has been informed of his injury.

The two terrorists, who were also wounded, were evacuated to a hospital as well. One of them suffered serious injuries and the second was moderately wounded.
