Weather sticks to seasonal average - at least over the weekend

After weeks of heat waves, Israel's weather stays relatively cool for a few days in a row.

After weeks of heat waves, Israel's temperatures dropped to seasonal average and are set to stay there until the beginning of next week.

Friday's temperatures will be average for the season, with moderate to oppressive heat on the coast, in the lowlands, and in the northern Negev. Israel's eastern valleys and Arava region will experience oppressive to extreme heat, while the country's mountainous regions will experience light to moderate heat.

On Friday and Friday night, temperature in Kiryat Shmona will range from 21-35 degrees Celsius, while temperatures in Tiberias will range between 23-37 degrees Celsius and Haifa's temperatures will range between 23-31 degrees. In Tel Aviv, temperatures will range between 24-31 degrees, while Jerusalem's weather will be between 19-31 degrees and Be'er Sheva's between 20-34 degrees.

Shabbat (Saturday) will be partly cloudy or clear, with temperatures average for the season. Heat will be moderate in the country's mountainous regions, and moderate to oppressive along the coast and in the lowlands. The northern Negev will suffer oppressive heat, while the eastern valleys and Arava region will suffer oppressive to extreme heat.

Sunday's weather will remain without significant change.

Monday will see a slight rise in temperature, especially in the mountains, and the heat will become oppressive.
