After a sweltering day mourning the destruction of Israel's Holy Temples, Israel's temperatures will drop slightly in time for the weekend.

Wednesday will see a slight drop in temperatures, but weather will still be warmer than usual in Israel's inland and mountainous regions, and muggy along the coast.

The coast itself will be oppressively hot, as will the lowlands and northern Negev. The eastern valleys and Arava regions will suffer extremely oppressive heat, while cities in the mountains will have moderate heat.

Temperatures for Wednesday are expected to be 23-36 degrees Celsius (73.4-96.8 degrees Fahrenheit) in Kiryat Shmona, 21-31 (69.8-87.8) degrees in Tzfat , 25-38 degrees Celsius (77-100.4 degrees Fahrenheit) in Tiberias, 25-31 (77-96.8) in Haifa, 26-31 (78.8-87.8) in Tel Aviv, 21-32 (69.8-89.6) in Jerusalem, and 23-35 (73.4-95) in Be'er Sheva.

Thursday will see an additional drop in temperatures, bringing the weather back down to seasonal average.

Friday, too, will see temperatures matching the seasonal average. Shabbat (Saturday) will be partly cloudy to clear, with temperatures at the seasonal average.
