American pop star Britney Spears has reportedly cancelled a planned meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu after being mobbed by fans during a visit to the Western Wall in the Old City of Jerusalem on Sunday.

Spears was scheduled to meet with the Prime Minister Sunday evening after her visit to the Old City, but cancelled the event, Yediot Ahronot reported, after she was mobbed by hundreds of fans in Jerusalem.

Along with the Prime Minister, a group of young cancer patients were also slated to meet with Spears Sunday evening. According to Yediot, sources close to the singer say she will meet with the cancer patients on Monday.

Spears is expected to perform in Tel Aviv Monday evening, where some 50,000 fans are expected to attend.

Monday’s concert will be Spears’ first ever performance in Israel.

The 35-year old pop diva has sold nearly 150 million records worldwide since her 1999 debut album.
