A Kurdish sniper was filmed laughing after having a close brush with death during a battle against ISIS terrorists in Raqqa.

The video, which emerged Wednesday, shows the YPJ (Women’s Protection Units) sniper taking a shot out of the window when a bullet strikes the wall just a few inches from her head.

The sniper then ducks down below the window and laughs at her near-death experience. She smiles as she speaks with her comrades.

The video was posted online by Kurdish journalist Hemze Hamza, who was embedded with the YPJ fighters.

Hamza tweeted: “Kurdish women know no fear. Your average human being would be scared for life after being so close to death but she kept laughing.”

The YPJ is an all-female Kurdish military branch of the of the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) and it is said that ISIS fighters are frightened of the fierce female fighters and even more at the shame of possibly being killed by a woman soldier.
