Jason Greenblatt, U.S. President Donald Trump’s envoy to the Middle East who is presently in Israel, on Monday visited the Western Wall in Jerusalem.

“Today, at the Kotel, I prayed for an end to violence and that we would experience the blessings of peace,” he tweeted.

Earlier on Monday, Greenblatt paid a shiva visit to the family of Hadas Malka, the Border Policewoman who was stabbed to death in a terrorist attack in the Old City of Jerusalem Friday night.

Greenblatt is in the region for another round of meetings as part of the Trump administration’s attempts to restart peace talks between Israel and the Palestinian Authority (PA).

Greenblatt is expected to propose to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and PA chairman Mahmoud Abbas to hold a summit within three months in which talks will be renewed.
