Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu took part on Sunday in the ‘Sheva Brachot’ celebration following the wedding of Health Minister Yaakov Litzman’s (United Torah Judaism) grandson, which was held at the minister’s home in Jerusalem.

The ‘Sheva Brachot’ [‘seven blessings’] celebration marks the first seven days of a newly-wed couple’s marriage, and is traditionally accompanied by festive meals at the homes of friends and relatives.

On Sunday, the Litzman family held a special shorter Sheva Brachot meal for the young couple which included coalition leaders, led by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and his wife, Sara.

Also in attendance were Education Minister Naftali Bennett (Jewish Home), Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman (Yisrael Beytenu), Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon (Kulanu), and chairman of the Finance Committee, MK Moshe Gafni (United Torah Judaism).

Not everyone was pleased with the presence of government leaders at the event, however. Members of the radical anti-Zionist Neturei Karta group demonstrated outside of Litzman’s home in protest of the Prime Minister’s visit.
