IDF soldier killed in southern Gaza

Overturned jeep kills IDF soldier, injures three others.

An IDF soldier was killed and three others were wounded on Saturday night when an IDF jeep overturned during a military patrol in the Kissufim area in southern Gaza.

The three injured were transferred by helicopter to Soroka Hospital in Be'er Sheva. Two of them are severely injured, and one is lightly hurt.

IDF Southern Command Commander Major General Eyal Zamir appointed Colonel Avi Rahamim to head a panel of experts which will investigate the event.

The IDF Police division has opened an investigation on the incident.

The families have been informed.
