MK Oren Hazan attacked this morning the decision of the state prosecution to appeal to the Beer Sheva district court over the lessening of the punishment imposed on him for speeding on the road.

“The non-stop persecution against me is already causing me to smile. At a certain point, when they do ‘overkill’ on a person, it’s not sad anymore, it’s funny,” Hazan told Army Radio.

“Nobody is bringing up the court’s harsh criticism of police, who didn’t come to a plea bargain with me,” he noted, adding, “The most severe part was when the judge asked the police prosecutor, ‘Why don’t you reach a plea bargain with MK Hazan?’ The answer was, ‘Because instruction was given by our superiors not to talk and not to arrive at a plea bargain.”

“Somebody needs to check who these ‘superiors’ are who are out to get me,” Hazan said. “Let me be clear: There is a constant pursuit happening here, and somebody needs to clean up the house. I want to know who the coward is who is standing behind the scenes.”
