The head of the Samaria Regional Council, Yossi Dagan, met Tuesday for a brief conversation with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu before attending the Knesset event marking 50 years since the return of the Jewish people o Judea and Samaria and the victory in the Six Day War.

Dagan told Arutz Sheva that he discussed the the dispute that arose following the protest by the mayors over the rate of building permits in Judea and Samaria with the Prime Minister.

"There was a good conversation," noted the head of the Samaria Regional Council. "We are waiting for the renewal of construction in Judea and Samaria."

Referring to the prime minister's speech at the event, Dagan said, "Netanyahu's speech was very much appreciated, but there were no innovations regarding the construction in Judea and Samaria. We will continue to follow and demand extensive construction in Judea and Samaria."

Last weekend, mayors and head of local council in Judea and Samaria began a series of large scale protests due to the publication of the agenda for the meetings of the Supreme Planning Council this week.

The heads of the municipalities protested that many of the building plans that were ripe for approval could not be submitted into the council's agenda, and therefore their advancement will be blocked for many months to come.
