At least five fatalities were reported in an office building in Orlando, Florida, Monday morning.

“OCSO working shooting scene that has stabilized. Multiple fatalities. Situation contained. Sheriff will brief as soon as info is accurate,” the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said in a tweet.

The police stated that the situation is contained and there is no longer an active shooter.

Almost one year ago, an Islamic terrorist with links to ISIS opened fire on a packed nightclub in Orlando, killing 49 people. A representative of the FBI joint terrorism task force was on the scene of the latest shooting.

Police said that the shooter was a former employee of the business who had been fired, and who had committed an act of workplace violence at the business several years ago. The shooter shot and killed himself after carrying out the shooting spree.

The police stated that the incident was believed to be an act of workplace violence and that there was no evidence that the shooting was related to terrorism or terrorist organizations.
