Israel's welfare authorities are expected to return a teen to his parents, who were suspected of abuse and negligence.

The teen was taken from his parents last week after neighbors reported a stench, which led police to search the family's Hadera apartment, where they found the boy and his parents.

The 14-year-old was taken to Hillel Yaffe Medical Center in Hadera, and his parents were taken for investigation.

However, the parents were freed after the investigation showed that the boy was developing normally and had not been abused.

The boy will be returned to his parents in the coming days - on condition that they agree to clean and tidy their apartment and its surroundings.
