Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu paid a condolence call to Interior Minister Aryeh Deri (Shas) Monday evening at his home in the Har Nof neighborhood of Jerusalem.

Deri is currently ‘sitting shiva; (in mourning) over his mother Esther, who passed away last Friday after a nearly decade-long battle with cancer.

During his visit, Netanyahu inquired about Deri’s mother and her activities over the years.

The two exchanged compliments, and Netanyahu parted with the traditional Jewish condolence: “May God console you among the other mourners of Zion and Jerusalem”.
