A 15-year-old boy was severely injured on Saturday evening in a "hit and run" car accident on Rashi Street in Beit Shemesh.

Magen David Adom paramedics administered first aid and transferred the victim to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem.

The driver of the car was not found at the scene, and Israel Police are searching the area for him.

Also on Saturday, a 14-year-old boy was killed after being hit by a car at 4:15 p.m. At the time of the accident, the boy was riding an electric bicycle on Netanya's Shumel Street.

Magen David Adom paramedics arrived on the scene and administered first aid to the boy, who was transferred to Netanya's Laniado Hospital with injuries to his head.

Emergency paramedic Binyamin Saadya said the boy was tossed into the air and landed a few meters from his bicycle.

"We administered first aid and transferred him as quickly as possible to the hospital," Saadya said. "The car's driver, a woman of about 30, was checked at the scene for injuries and did not require hospital treatment.

"The hospital doctor who checked the teen was forced to declare his death."
