Violent confrontations are taking place at the Amona synagogue with police and barricaded youths in altercations and both sides claiming violence was instigated by the other side.
Police foreign press spokesman superintendent Micky Rosenfeld reported that "police units were evacuating synagogue in the area of Amona. During the course of the evacuation 8 police officers were lightly injured after they attacked while entering the synagogue which was closed from all entrances.
"The evacuation is continuing according to plan and the people in the synagogue are being removed from the area. Police units on the scene. Situation under control."
