11 IDF soldiers who were wounded during Operation Protective Edge or in terrorist attacks were honored at the Belev Echad Gala Dinner in New York Sunday.
The gala, which was attended by 400 people, served as the climax of a ten-day tour of New York City organized for the veterans by Belev Echad. The veterans visited landmarks such as the Statue of Liberty, Times Square, and the 9/11 Museum.
Belev Echad was founded by Rabbi Uriel Vigler to show support and appreciation for IDF soldiers who put their lives on the line to defend Israel and the Jewish people.
“These brave IDF soldiers have risked – and nearly lost – their lives to protect the people and the sacred land of Israel,” Rabbi Vigler said. “The New York community is immensely grateful for the commitment and sacrifices they have made. It has been my pleasure to introduce these heroes to our supporters, and to help them realize just how much we appreciate their service.”
