Two children, aged 2 and 4, were moderately injured in a fire that erupted this evening in a Tel Aviv apartment. A 27-year-old woman was also lightly injured.

The fire was on the second story of a three-story building.

The three injured persons were treated by MDA medics at the scene and evacuated to Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv.

Senior medic Arye Farkash, who was present at the scene, related: “When we arrived, we saw thick smoke coming from an apartment on the second floor. The injured were brought out - a woman, a 4-year-old boy and a 2-year-old girl.

“They were dizzy, having inhaled the smoke, the woman was fully conscious and in light condition,” Farkash said. “After administering first aid, we evacuated them to the hospital as the children’s conditions were defined as moderate.”
