More than 60 people are dead and dozens wounded after a suicide bomber drove a car packed with explosives into army facility in Yemen on Monday.

The Islamic State terror organization has claimed responsibility for the attack, which targeted a gathering of new recruits for Yemen’s security forces.

The attack took place in the city of Aden on Yemen’s southern coast.

"It's a massacre,” said Yemen Post editor Hakim Al Masmari. “The attack has the highest death toll in any attack that happened in Aden before.”

Aden has served as the provisional capital of Yemen’s Hadi government, which has been embroiled in a bloody civil war with Houthi rebels since March of 2015.
