Hoping to strengthen ties between Israel and African nations, Israel’s Ambassador Danny Danon is set to host an event at the UN called "Israeli Innovation & Technologies in Africa,"

The event, which will be held in the presence of the Prime Minister, will present the latest developments from the Start Up Nation to heads of state and ambassadors from Africa and around the world.

“We are continuing to promote the expansion of diplomatic and economic relations between Israel and Africa, and to assist Israeli companies as they enter the African market,” Ambassador Danon said of the event.

Ten Israeli companies and startups are scheduled to present their latest innovations and technologies at the interactive event. Amongst those presenting will be a mobile soilless “mini farm,” an atmospheric water generator, solar energy for power and water pumping, and a cancer-detecting medical device that saves lives quickly and economically.

“The UN is all too often a hostile forum where anti-Israel libels are spread,” noted Ambassador Danon.

“This event will provide our friends from Africa with a taste of the real face of Israel – a country full of technological innovations and the will to truly make the world a better place.”
