24 hours before her son's wedding, Yocheved Hanna Gottleib, a member of the Gerrer hassidic community in Jerusalem, went into cardiac arrest, collapsed and died. She was 66.

Family members said that while she was struggling for her life last night (Saturday), a Rabbi who was consulted by the family said that the wedding ceremony should be held as soon as possible. Tragically, the mother passed away while final preparations were being made to hastily conduct the wedding.

The late Gottleib was a well-known figure in the Har Nof neighborhood of Jerusalem, where she lived. She ran a clothing store in the Geula section of downtown Jerusalem for many years.

Her funeral will take place today (Sunday), leaving from her home in Har Nof.
