Man steals his own files from Israel Tax Authority

A Ramat Gan resident made off with 22 boxes of information, after the Israel Tax Authority opened an investigation into him.

Uri Levi, 55, is accused of breaking into the Tax Authority offices, and stealing 22 boxes of investigation materials on his case, through a hole he made in the drywall of the ofice.

Levi, a resident of Ramat Gan, was arrested after security footage shows him breaking through a window and stealing the boxes, which he took down in an elevator.

Prosecutors have filed an indictment against Levi, and have requested that his arrest be extended until the end of the legal proceedings.
