The Clinton campaign has announced that it will not travel abroad to garner support, claiming that Clinton simply has to much to do on the home front in terms of campaigning, according to a report by ABC news.

"[I]f we had more time, it might be something that we would do. But at this point they haven't found it to be worth how much time we would lose here,” Clinton communications director Jennifer Palmieri told ABC.

In addition, Palmieri claimed that the amount of experience Clinton garnered on the international stage in her former capacity as Secretary of State makes such a trip unnecessary.

"Our assessment has been that it just does not ever make sense to [campaign abroad] given the amount of experience she has on an international stage and in international security,” Palmieri said.

The reference to Clinton's credentials in international security could be deemed rather ironic, considering that her tenure as Secretary of State was plagued by scandals of international security failures. In 2012, Clinton failed to provide adequate defense to the American diplomatic compound in Benghazi, which led to the deaths of four American officials in a terrorist attack on the compound.

In March 2016, it was revealed that Clinton had used an easily-breached private server to send official emails as Secretary of State; many of these emails contained classified information.
